Project Infrastructure IT

Beberapa minggun ini begitu melelahkan, banyak project IT Infrastructure yang mesti di monitoring, installasi CCTV, Fiber Optic, Communication Room, Server room, Telecomunication and other. Semuanya harus selesai tepat waktu dan tidak boleh telat.

Untuk di internal office ada project IT Operation dengan menggunakan software iTOP open source; program web-base yang melakukan pencatatan semua operasi IT Dept, aktifitas problem (warning low tinta, warning low space hdd, warning bandwidth full), aktifitas accident (tidak bisa print, tidak bisa login) dan aktifitas interruption. Ada juga web-base program untuk inventory IT yaitu OCS Inventory-NG, open source juga namun masih tetap power full. Semuanya harus berjalan dengan baik sesegera mungkin - as soon as possible.

Lenovo Z400 access bios

Pagi ini saya baru dapat Notebook Lenovo Z400 i7 memory 4GB, free DOS. Saya mencoba untuk install windows 7 64bit Original, setelah saya hidupkan dan tekan F1 untuk masuk bios tidak bisa, tekan Del juga tidak bisa, waktu pertama hidup lansung saya tekan F12 juga tidak bisa, akhirnya pusing juga. Saya coba boot dari DVD dan USB, masih tetap tidak mau baca. Saya googling juga tidak ada, website forum lenovo sedang maintain. hm gimana ya?

Cisco Offers 2015 Networking Forecast, Expects Wi-Fi to Exceed Wired Traffic

Cisco has published its networking forecast for 2010-2015 and some of the things that it is forecasting are impressive. Cisco expects annual IP traffic to hit the zetabyte threshold by the end of 2015. That is 966 exabytes per year or about 80.5 exabytes each month. The report notes that global IP traffic has increased by a factor of eight times in the last five years and will increase by another factor of four in the next five years.

Cisco Linksys routers still don't support IPv6

It's hard to fathom why Cisco hasn't added IPv6 to its Linksys consumer routers yet, but the company has promised support will come this spring.

It's 2011, IPv4 addresses are officially exhausted, and the world's largest router maker, Cisco, still doesn't support IPv6 in its best-selling line of Linksys wireless routers. This is true even for the new E4200 router released just last month (priced at $180). The company has promised to have IPv6 support for the Linksys line by the spring but has not been specific.
